2024 was personally one of my families all time lows. My wife who you will see come with me , had a major eclamptic episode in march 2024, and we lost our son at 23 weeks. In addition my wife had a major brain bleed and managed to pull through 3 weeks later with visual impairment and reading issues. A few moths passed and in late August she had 2 seizures, one of which stopped her heart, luckily right in front of the ER doctors. Today shes doing well considering.

Then to add icing on the cake, as the sole financial provider of the household, I was laid off in November 2024.

Since then, the job search has not been kind in technology and I have had no luck finding employment in or outside of my field.

My second family is keeping me employed to one way or another with odd jobs. One of them had me come over to look at a wooden gate. The fence itself was in bad shape. A 20 year old pine fence that had done its job but needed to be replaced. So I asked if they would want me to build a fence and they accepted, and so I started learning everything around fencing and find myself excited to provide this service.

I understand the apprehension. I have little experience in the industry. And fencing is not cheap. However, neither is running a legitimate business.

I have taken multiple steps in being an actual LLC, getting estimating software, vendor partnerships, and investing in insurance for your protection as well as mine. I spend a good amount of time researching permits and HOA needs and always making sure everything is done by the book.

In addition, my previous experience a Manager in Software Quality Assurance brings my eye for detail and making sure things follow specifications is really where I shine.
